Elin tells us that comfort is always the priority when flying long-haul. ‘I want to feel good and make sure I land refreshed and can actually enjoy the day,’ she says. Her comfort essentials include cosy socks and a cardigan to keep warm.

Skincare is another non-negotiable. Alongside a good moisturiser and sunscreen, Elin makes room for an eye cream to combat the effects of long flights. ‘It’s my little spa session in the air, and it helps me land looking much more awake than I feel,’ she laughs.

Elin’s in-flight routine is all about making the journey enjoyable, not just the destination. ‘After my meal, before I go to sleep, I take my make-up off, cleanse and moisturise, and then the fluffy socks go on,’ she says. ‘Before I fly, I also download shows and podcasts I’ve been saving, which makes me look forward to those hours on the plane.’

Of course, the perfect carry-on starts with the right bag. For Elin, it needs to balance style and practicality, with enough pockets to keep everything organised, a secure zip and room for her laptop.
