Mid-Autumn Festival is drawing near, and across Pacific Place and Starstreet Precinct, the season's gifts are arriving dressed for the occasion — treats and hampers so good, your host will want to keep the box long after what's inside is gone.

From long-traditional mooncake boxes to flowers and fruit, here’s where to look.

1. Mooncake Gift Box by Ralph’s Coffee

Perfect for: A gift that outlasts the mooncakes inside

Ralph’s Coffee has gone fully collectable this year, with a vintage-inspired camper van in the brand’s signature green and white, parked alongside the cutest Polo Bear-ista driver. It lights up from within, which tips it from gift box into a keepsake for those who enjoy building figurine collections. And of course, there are delectable treats inside: : six mini custard mooncakes, split evenly between classic egg and chocolate.

2. Octagon Box by Venchi

Perfect for: A tasting box that pairs mooncake and chocolate side by side

The Italian chocolatier’s Mid-Autumn Moonstream Collection is an opportunity for it to do what it does best: wrap new mooncakes — Autumn from the Orchard, Dark Almond, and Milky Tea — and other treats inside a range of seven sculptural boxes inspired by the lunar cycle traditional motifs. A standout is the Octagon Box, setting a single Milky Tea mooncake at the centre of a ring of Chocoviar chocolates styled like stars in orbit — mooncake and a decadent chocolate tasting in one.

3. Black Sesame Mooncake by COVA

Perfect for: A first taste of something new

COVA’s full mooncake line-up this year is a genuine treat, from classic custard to salted caramel macadamia, all wrapped in the brand's new jade and gold packaging, designed by its Milan studio like a lacquered jewellery case. But the standout might just be the new black sesame mooncake, made with finely milled Kuki sesame from Japan against silky white lotus paste, for a deep, nutty flavour balanced by clean sweetness.

4. Matcha Lava Mooncakes by Matchali x YYY House of Cakes

Perfect for: Something smaller, handmade, family-made

In the most personal pick on this list. Matchali founders and cousins Laura and Cara Li have teamed up with their cousin Yvette Li of YYY House of Cakes — a bakery known for its inventive, mixed-medium cake work — on a matcha lava mooncake. The treats are handmade in small batches and are matcha through and through, with matcha pastry encasing a lava centre that leans closer to dessert than tradition.

5. Mid-Autumn Dazzling Hamper by Fleuria

Perfect for: Skipping mooncakes for fruit and champagne

Fleuria’s offering for the season swaps pastry for produce: eight pieces of the finest seasonal fruit, a bottle of Diebolt-Vallois Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut, and a flower arrangement in a gold pot, in a colour palette of your choosing. It's the pick for anyone gifting a household.
