Matchali, the much-loved matcha tea shop in Starstreet Precinct, isn’t just known for its range of delicious, healthy hot and cold drinks, but for also for its dreamy aesthetic, which spans from its branding to its interior spaces. So it’s little surprise that Matchali co-founder Cara Li’s eye for design translates into the Hong Kong abode she shares with her husband Matt and two children, Ireland and Lando.
When the couple originally moved into hilly Jardine’s Lookout, a space for their little ones was front of mind. ‘I was pregnant with our daughter, so our goal was to create a family home. We built our first nursery, which was such an enjoyable project,’ Cara shares. And when their son was born several months ago, they made further renovations to accommodate a family of four. ‘Our study became our second nursery, so now our dining table has become multifunctional. I do some work at home, but mostly I work from the store and try to be present with my kids at home.’
