As part of our Day in the Life series, The Style Sheet followed Anthea around on one of her typical workdays to find out what her role in the marketing team looks like in 2021, and how she incorporates moments of mindfulness and wellness into her day.
‘I love practising gratitude right after I wake up to kick-start the day — to focus on one thing I’m grateful for. I follow that with some simple stretches to warm up my body, then make myself a cup of coffee. Making coffee every morning is my meditative moment — the aroma of the coffee calms and relaxes me, and gets me ready for the day. ‘My work mornings usually start with Zoom meetings, where I get to connect with various teams. Depending on the focus of the month, on some days I connect with our store community leads on brand campaign enrolment and on-ground community initiatives, and other days I’m in conversation with my counterparts from other regions where we exchange ideas and learn from each other. At other times I might be discussing social content creation approach and PR strategies with agencies.’
