The fresh leaf of the new year is the perfect time to reassess your wardrobe. And arguably the key part of that wardrobe assessment is to get your core, quality basics in order — the pieces that will stand the test of time and serve as the starting point of any look. For inspiration of which closet staples to invest in, we ask the stylish Cindy Ko to share her own essential edit.

‘My style varies and changes all the time, but most days I’m all about comfort and ease. Simple, structured, classic. I love colours and print but when in doubt, I go monochrome. Can’t go wrong!’ says Cindy. ‘For me, basics are neutral, black and white pieces that are easy to match or wear on their own. The style is simple but the quality of fit and material are non-negotiable — they have to look and feel incredible on your skin.’
