Developed by Thomas Heatherwick, the natural, warmer and softer Pacific Place, has been transformed from classic elegance to contemporary luxury.
Heatherwick and his design team have become famous for innovative projects that range from architecture and sculpture to product design and strategic thinking. His unique approach combines the talents of artist, engineer and sculptor.
Celebrated for his innovative use of materials and his sculptural aesthetics, Thomas Heatherwick is known for promoting architecture as art. Thomas brings this new approach to design in Hong Kong, capitalising on his experience with such projects as the curling steel Rolling Bridge at Paddington Basin, London, a landscape of walkways formed by ribbon-like steps at La Maison Unique for Longchamp in New York, and the East Beach Café – a seaside café and restaurant in Littlehampton, West Sussex. Thomas' pioneering attitude to design will transform the much favoured Pacific Place to an even better place.
