Once upon a time, two jeweller families from Holland were joined together by the marriage of their children, Estelle Arpels and Alfred Van Cleef in 1896. Ten years later, the families jointly founded a new company: Van Cleef & Arpels.

Van Cleef & Arpels' past and present are intimately linked to the imperial aristocracies. It exudes grandeur, luxury, glamour and prestige. Today, the House remains a brand of distinction and exclusivity closely associated with the spirit of France, which  symbolizes refinement and elegance.
